The machine turns internal and external surfaces including threads (metric and imperial), tapers, arcs, grooves, and end faces — all operations required to produce complete metal nipples ready for assembly. Servo motors on both axes (6 N·m each) ensure consistent dimensional accuracy across large production batches.
An 8-inch chuck and 48 mm spindle bore handle bar stock up to 45 mm and plate-type workpieces up to 400 mm diameter. The machine processes steel, stainless steel, brass, copper, and aluminum, covering the full material spectrum used in plumbing, HVAC, and automotive nipple production.
The 5.5 kW spindle with stepless variable speed from 150 to 2500 r/min adapts to different materials and cut depths without manual gear changes. Rapid traverse rates of 8 m/min (X) and 10 m/min (Z) minimize idle time between cuts, directly improving parts-per-hour output.
A cast-iron bed and 2300 kg machine weight provide the mass and stiffness needed to maintain surface finish quality during interrupted cuts on threaded nipples. This rigidity extends tool life and reduces reject rates in sustained production.
The fully enclosed machining area with a sliding door and transparent viewing window protects operators from rotating parts and flying chips. Pneumatic systems for chuck actuation reduce manual handling, and accessible component layout simplifies routine maintenance.
