With a rated output of 5,000 kg per 24 hours, this machine supports uninterrupted ice supply for large-scale operations. The vertical barrel evaporator and rotating sprinkler system maintain a steady freeze cycle, minimizing downtime between ice harvesting intervals.
The refrigeration circuit — compressor, expansion valve, condenser, and evaporator — operates at a total circulating power of 24.5 kW. Combined with air-cooled condensing (3 kW fan), this eliminates the cost and maintenance of water-cooled systems while keeping per-kilogram energy usage low.
The sprinkler plate distributes water uniformly across the evaporator’s inner wall, producing a consistent water film that freezes into 1.5–2.2 mm thick flake ice. The resulting ice density of 400–450 kg/m³ ensures efficient thermal contact in cooling and preservation applications.
The ice cutter and spindle assembly, driven by a gear reducer at 0.37 kW, continuously shears ice from the evaporator wall without high-speed impact. This low-torque, low-wear approach extends the service life of cutting components and reduces maintenance intervals.
At 1,500 × 1,800 × 1,600 mm and 1,800 kg, the machine integrates the refrigeration unit, evaporator, control panel, and ice storage bin into a single vertical assembly. Adjustable feet allow leveling on uneven floors, and the front-mounted control panel provides direct access to operational indicators and switches.
Technical Specifications
The equipment is mainly composed of compressor, expansion valve, condenser and evaporator, forming a circulation closed refrigeration system. The evaporator is a vertical barrel structure, mainly composed of ice cutter, spindle, sprinkler plate, water plate.Under the drive of the reducer, it rotates slowly counterclockwise. The water is evenly sprinkled on the inner wall of the evaporator to form a water film. The water film and the refrigerant in the evaporator flow channel conduct heat exchange, the temperature is rapidly reduced, and a layer of thin ice is formed in the inner wall of the evaporator. Under the extrusion of the ice knife, it is broken into flake ice. Part of the unfrozen water flows from the water inlet to the cold water tank through the water tray.
