The PFD-600/1000 adjusts from 80mm to 600mm duct diameter directly on the machine through a mechanical adjustment mechanism. This eliminates the cost and storage burden of dedicated molds for each size, and lets operators switch between diameters during a single shift without stopping for retooling.
The feeding and forming system handles silicone cloth, non-woven fabric, and canvas — three materials that serve different temperature and chemical resistance requirements. Changeover between materials is designed for simplicity, requiring one operator and minimal adjustment to the tension and feed guides.
Forming speed ranges from 1 to 15 m/min, giving operators control over the winding pitch and strip adhesion depending on duct diameter and fabric thickness. Lower speeds suit larger diameters and thicker materials where tighter control ensures uniform helical reinforcement; higher speeds maximize throughput on smaller-diameter runs.
A single 2.2KW motor drives the entire forming process, keeping energy costs low during extended production cycles. The machine’s 500kg weight and 2200 × 650 × 1200mm dimensions allow installation on standard workshop floors without reinforced foundations or dedicated crane access.
The finished clip-type flexible ducts withstand the demands of high-temperature HVAC systems, exhaust gas extraction, shipyard ventilation, and mining airflow channels. The metal strip reinforcement provides structural memory and collapse resistance, while the fabric layer delivers heat tolerance and flexibility for routing through confined spaces.
