The RJ-400 feeds both galvanized steel strip and fireproof fabric simultaneously through 24 roller pairs, bonding and forming them into a finished flexible connector in one continuous operation. This removes the manual steps of cutting, aligning, and fastening canvas to metal separately.
Every roller is machined from Cr12 tool steel, quench-hardened to HRC 58–62, and chrome-plated. This combination resists abrasive wear from galvanized coatings and ensures dimensional consistency across tens of thousands of meters of production before any roller service is needed.
By integrating press and forming functions into a single 3.5-meter line, the machine replaces two standalone punching machines and their operators. Factories reclaim floor space and reduce headcount on the duct connector production process.
Adjustable feed guides accommodate GS strip widths from 50 to 150 mm and fabric widths from 100 to 300 mm, producing final connectors from 140 to 540 mm wide. Changeover between sizes is mechanical and does not require replacement tooling.
A single 4.5 kW motor drives the entire forming sequence at 6–8 m/min. The low energy draw keeps per-unit production costs down, even during extended shifts, while the 1,750 kg steel frame absorbs vibration to maintain forming accuracy at full speed.
