Key Features

The cage rotation is driven by a sun-and-planet gear system rather than friction-based mechanisms, delivering consistent torque distribution to all 24 bobbins. A built-in lock system and mechanical brake allow operators to stop the machine safely without strand displacement, while the hidden transmission design minimizes exposure to moving parts.

A dedicated 36-head lay length adjustment gearbox lets operators dial in exact strand pitch settings to match different casing diameters and customer specifications. This directly controls the mechanical properties — flexibility, compression resistance, and durability — of the finished conduit.

Before stranding is finalized, each wire passes through a pre-former that introduces the correct spiral curvature, followed by a wire pressing device that locks the strands into their final geometry. This two-stage forming process produces casings with uniform wall structure and minimal spring-back.

The drawing device operates off a common shaft to keep line speed perfectly matched between the stranding section and the take-up. When the machine stops, a pneumatic brake clamps the conduit inside the groove wheel, preventing any backward movement or strand loosening that would compromise product quality.

At approximately 5,000 kg and built on a robust mild-steel frame spanning 16 meters, the machine is engineered for sustained industrial operation. Rotary speeds exceed 120 rpm (85+ rpm under typical production load), and the 11.0–17.5 kW motor range is matched to actual stranding resistance rather than oversized for idle running.
