This cooling bed consolidates cooling, feeding, straightening, fixed-length sawing, and storage into one continuous system, eliminating the need for separate handling equipment between process steps and reducing total cycle time from press exit to finished cut length.
The 26m × 2.65m cooling bed table uses evenly spaced φ35 transmission shafts driven by a 2.2KW motor to move profiles at a consistent rate, promoting even heat dissipation across the full profile length and minimizing thermal distortion that leads to rejects.
Five independently driven saw units (0.55KW each) mounted at 400mm intervals on a dedicated saw table allow operators to cut profiles to exact specified lengths in a single pass, improving dimensional accuracy and throughput compared to single-saw setups.
The slip introduction device (L26m × H516mm) uses inverter-controlled dual motors to gently receive extruded profiles, while the bridge and loading station handle lateral transfers on heavy-duty φ40 shafts — all designed to prevent scratches, dents, or deformation on finished surfaces.
Each section — slip device, feeding device, cooling bed, bridge, loading station, and saw table — is built on a rigid steel frame and can be individually configured or extended. This modular approach simplifies installation, maintenance, and future capacity upgrades.
