All critical welding parameters — clamping pressure, flash duration, and forging force — are set and monitored through a PLC system with touchscreen HMI. Operators store recipes for each rim specification, ensuring every weld meets the same quality standard without manual guesswork. The 8-grade primary voltage adjustment (7–14 V) provides granular control over heat input to match specific material thicknesses and steel compositions.
A full hydraulic drive system generates up to 600 KN clamping force and 300 KN forging force, producing strong metallurgical bonds at a rate of 2–3 pieces per minute. This cycle speed keeps pace with upstream coil preparation and downstream roll forming equipment, preventing production line bottlenecks in high-volume rim manufacturing.
With a welding section capacity of 400–4,500 mm², width range of 100–500 mm, and thickness capability up to 8 mm, this machine handles rim profiles for passenger cars, trucks, buses, and agricultural vehicles. The 20–80 mm adjustable clamp stroke accommodates varying strip cross-sections with fast mechanical changeover.
The heavy-duty steel frame and enclosed hydraulic compartments are built for continuous shift operation. Access panels simplify maintenance of hydraulic components, while a dedicated cooling circuit (≥3,000 L/h at <25°C) protects the transformer and electrodes during sustained 50% duty cycle welding.
High-visibility safety striping marks all pinch points and moving clamp zones. The control panel is positioned for clear sightline to the weld area, and pneumatic systems (≥0.4 MPa) assist clamp actuation to reduce manual handling. Enclosed guarding contains flash and spatter within the welding zone.
