Key Features

Unlike conventional two-half clamping dies, NTBOBO’s three-part design mirrors the self-centering principle of a lathe chuck. This distributes clamping force evenly around the tube circumference, reducing ovality and deformation at the cut point. The result is a concentric, distortion-free tube end ready for tight-tolerance welding or expansion — directly improving yield rates on evaporator and condenser lines.

The 360° rotary cutting head combined with two-point clamping and controlled stretching produces a chip-free, burr-free cut. No secondary deburring operation is needed, which eliminates a process step and prevents metal chips from contaminating downstream refrigeration circuits. This is especially important for sealed HVAC systems where internal particulate can cause compressor failure.

Nylon-coated straightening rollers and U-shaped rubber belt drives handle tube stock without scratching or marking the surface. For copper and aluminum tubes destined for fin-type evaporator assembly, surface integrity directly affects tube-to-fin contact and heat transfer performance. Operators can feed coil stock through the straightener and receive cut-to-length blanks in a single pass.

The control system pairs a Mitsubishi PLC and inverter with an Omron encoder and KINCO HMI, giving operators precise speed and length control through a touchscreen interface. Schneider contactors and CE-rated electrical components ensure the machine meets international safety and reliability standards. The electrical system runs on 380V/50Hz/3-phase with customization available for other power configurations.

Handling copper, aluminum, and Bundy tube from 4 mm to 20 mm OD, this machine covers the majority of tube sizes used in residential and commercial HVAC heat exchangers, automotive thermal management systems, and appliance refrigeration circuits. Cutting lengths above 50 mm are programmable through the HMI, supporting both short U-bend blanks and longer straight tube requirements.

Technical Specifications

The chipless tube straightening and cutting machine is special designed for copper and aluminum tube process, which is mainly used for tube blanking before tube bending or welding process of condenser and evaporator. Compare to normal design with two-half clamping die, we design the clamping die in three parts according to lathe chuck structure, which can minimize the tube distortion during cutting, and the clamping die changing / adjustment will be easier.
