Key Features

The machine delivers roundness of 2 μm, cylindricity of 3 μm, and surface roughness of Ra 0.32, supported by a servo feed system with 0.001 mm minimum resolution. Dynamic pressure oil-film bearings on the grinding wheel spindle and double-row cylindrical roller bearings on the regulating wheel suppress vibration, ensuring these tolerances hold across extended production cycles.

The bed is cast from high-strength dense-grained iron and undergoes two separate aging treatments before final precision machining. At 4,500 kg, the machine absorbs cutting forces and resists thermal distortion — critical for maintaining accuracy when grinding hardened automotive shafts, mold cores, or instrument components.

A Mitsubishi servo motor drives a custom ball screw on double V-shaped needle roller rails, combining feed and compensation into a single mechanism for simplified operation. The two-axis grinding wheel dresser — also servo and ball screw driven — can profile step arcs automatically, reducing setup time between part changeovers and keeping the wheel in optimal cutting condition.

Both plunge-feed (up to 210 mm grinding length) and through-feed (up to 195 mm) modes are supported for diameters from 4 to 100 mm. The regulating wheel offers AC variable-frequency stepless speed control from 10 to 200 r/min and adjustable swivel angles (vertical −2° to +5°, horizontal −1° to +3°), allowing operators to fine-tune part feed rate and geometry for each job.

The Mitsubishi PLC with WeiLun touchscreen HMI presents all parameters — feed, speed, dwell time — in a clear interface that operators can adjust without specialized programming. The coolant system accepts either paper filtration or magnetic separation, letting users match filtration to their material and cleanliness requirements.
